~St. Michael the Archangel Chapter~
Our chapter meets the first Monday of each month —
5:00 p.m. Covered Dish Supper
6:00 p.m. Evening Prayer & Intercessions
The Daughters of the King is an Order in the Episcopal Church
which is open to all
women. Our purpose is to bring others into a loving relationship with Jesus and
to help
strengthen our spiritual life.
Daughters follow a Rule of Prayer, whereby we pray daily for
the special needs of our
parish — for healing, for guidance, for thanksgiving.
And through a Rule of Service, our Daughters work with
the Clergy for the special needs
of our parish and parishioners.
We wear our cross as a daily reminder.
The inscription:
MAGINANIMITER CRUCEM SUSTINE
"With heart. mind and spirit uphold and bear the cross."
The Motto of the Order Is:
For His sake...
I am but one, but I am one,
I cannot do everything, but I can do something
What can I do, I ought to do.
What I ought to do, by the grace of God I will do.
Lord, what will you have me do?
Visitors are always welcome
